Sydney business awards Tuesday – Cape Breton Post

SYDNEY — The Sydney and Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Excellence in Business Awards will be held Tuesday at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre.

The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with a meet-and-greet, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and will run until about 9:30 p.m.

The awards recognize local businesses for their achievements in more than 20 categories including six People’s Choice awards, which are voted on by the public.

The awards include export achievement, most innovative, not-for-profit, arts and entertainment, aboriginal, business tech sector, customer service, and growth and sustainability.
