Silver anniversary of PLFN PowWow this weekend – Pictou Advocate

PICTOU LANDING FIRST NATION – The 25th Annual PowWow celebrations are taking place this weekend – Saturday and Sunday.

The celebration will begin Saturday at 1 p.m. and will end later in the afternoon on Sunday once the flags are retired.
A grand feast will be celebrated at the close of the festivities.

The PowWow will be located at the second ball field on the left entering the community from Trenton, or on the right hand side past the community homes if coming from Little Harbour. Organizers are hoping that the weather cooperates with beautiful, sunny skies and warm days.

The annual PowWow always draws a crowd of spectators and supporters and features dancers of all ages, musicians and more.
