CBU should position itself to be recognized as a proactive player in this expanding league
Cape Breton University should consider itself honoured by the presence of its Chancellor, Annette Verschuren, on stage with Prime Minister Trudeau and others while in Vancouver on March 3.
Further, she co-authored an insightful column about sustainability entitled “Sustainability” with Arlene Dickinson and Stewart Elgie (The Globe and Mail, March 2).
The Vancouver Conference may well be the most important gathering of federal, provincial and aboriginal leaders held in Canada this year. It was the first major follow-up gathering of Canadian leaders since the International Conference on the Environment in Paris last November and its agenda included significant high-level decisions jointly impacting our national economy and the environment.
