The Premier-Indigenous Leaders’ Roundtable held in Happy Valley-Goose Bay today presented an opportunity to discuss and advance common interests and shared goals of the Provincial Government and Indigenous Governments and Organizations in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The roundtable opened on November 27 with a reception that featured Indigenous cultural and musical entertainment.

Discussion at the roundtable included:

  • Mental health and addictions programs, services and action plans;
  • Ongoing work on the development of a Social and Economic Well-being Plan; and
  • Statements from Indigenous leaders.
