FREDERICTON (GNB) – Effective today, Mike Holland is resigning his position as minister of natural resources and energy development and Indigenous affairs, as well as his seat as the MLA for Albert.

He will be transitioning to prepare for private sector employment opportunities.

“I want to personally thank Mike for his service to the province,” said Premier Blaine Higgs. “He has worked hard, leading several departments with excellence, while being a strong voice for his constituents. He has been an asset to our team and I have full confidence that he will be a valued member of any organization that he works with in the future, and I wish him all the best.”

“The last six years have been an incredible opportunity for myself and gave me the chance to do work that will live long beyond my time in office,” said Holland. “I am incredibly thankful to Premier Higgs for that and will always remember my time as a member of the legislative assembly fondly.”
