by ahnationtalk on May 14, 202132 Views

On May 5, 2021 Health Canada approved the Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine for youth ages 12 and above. The Nunatsiavut Government, Department of Health and Social Development, has been working with Labrador-Grenfell Regional Health Authority on the roll out of this vaccine in the five Labrador Inuit communities.

Consent forms for the vaccine are in the process of being distributed to parents and guardians. If you would like your child to receive the vaccine please complete the consent form and return it. If you have any questions regarding the vaccine please reach out to your local Public Health nurse.

Weather permitting, the vaccines will be administered the weeks of May 17 and May 24. The second doses will be administered early in the new school year.
