Nova Scotia government says agreement in principle reached with 3,500 doctors – CP

HALIFAX _ An agreement in principle has been reached between the Nova Scotia government and 3,500 physicians represented by Doctors Nova Scotia.

No details of the tentative deal have been released.

The government says details of the physician alternative funding plan and the physician master agreement won’t be released until the agreement is ratified by the membership.

Doctors Nova Scotia will meet with physicians across the province over the next several weeks with a ratification vote to take place in late June.

The last agreement with the province’s doctors expired on March 31, 2015.
