MIRAMICHI – New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) congratulates two Alumnae who will be recognized by the Women of Miramichi Entrepreneurial Network (WOMEN) at its fourth ‘Women of Influence’ Night on November 28.

Shelby Tenass will be recognized as a Young Woman of Influence and Jennifer Curtis as Female Entrepreneur of the Year.

Tenass is a recent Practical Nurse graduate who is making her mark as both an LPN in Eel Ground First Nation and as owner of Tenassity Health and Fitness, a small fitness training business.

Curtis is the owner of L’il Critters Early Learning and Preschool. She was among the inaugural mentees who participated in OASIS, NBCC’s entrepreneurial mentorship program which pairs aspiring alumni entrepreneurs with successful business people to address specific business challenges.

“On behalf of NBCC, I wish to extend heartfelt congratulations to both Jennifer and Shelby on their entrepreneurial achievements,” said Marilyn Luscombe, President and CEO of NBCC. “These inspiring women have demonstrated their leadership and contributions to their community. With their skills and ambition, they help grow entrepreneurship throughout New Brunswick.”
