Mi’kmaq prepared for battle with Alton Gas – APTN

Controversy is heating up around a natural gas project in Nova Scotia.

Last week, the province issued permits to Alton Gas. The permits allow the company to store natural gas near Mi’kmaq communities.

But those Mi’kmaq aren’t impressed and they’re raising questions about why they don’t get a say in a project that could impact their lives.
