Membertou group inks MOU with N.B. initiative – The Chronicle Herald

The Mi’kmaw Economic Benefits Office in Membertou now has a formal partnership with its counterpart in New Brunswick.
The Membertou group signed a memorandum of understanding with the New Brunswick Joint Economic Development Initiative to work together to build relationships with large industry in the region, the groups said in a news release issued Tuesday.
“Over the last couple of years, we have been collaborating more and more on major projects like the Irving Shipbuilding contract,” Alex Paul, executive director of the Membertou group, said in the release.
“We have seen the benefits of this collaboration and want to build upon this success of working together and sharing information.”
