Media Advisory: Provincial Government to Honour Indigenous Culture with Unveiling of Innu Artwork

The Honourable Dr. Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, along with the Honourable Dr. Scott Reid, Minister Responsible for Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation, and representatives of the Innu Nation will gather to unveil artwork in the East Block Lobby of Confederation Building tomorrow, March 25.

The event will begin at 12:00 p.m. and will showcase the original work of late artist Patrick Nuke.

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador worked closely with Indigenous Governments and Organizations to procure six pieces of Indigenous artwork, one for each of the five Indigenous Governments and Organizations and a sixth to honour the culture of the Beothuk.
