OTTAWA, Nov. 12, 2015  – Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Chief Perry Bellegarde will be in Halifax on Monday, November 16 to participate in the  Public Forum “A New Partnership: Building Relationship through Education”. The National Chief will speak on the priority of First Nations education and re-engaging with the federal government as partners to move forward on First Nations Control of First Nations education.

The public forum “A New Partnership: Building Relationship Through Education” is organized by Engage Nova Scotia and Treaty Education Nova Scotia, a partnership between Mi’kmaq Chiefs and the provincial government to educate Aboriginals and non-Aboriginal students about Nova Scotia’s Treaty relationship.
