Lennox Island First Nation elects new chief, council – CBC

Voters elected one off-reserve councillor, two on-reserve councillors and a chief
Tabatha Bernard has been elected chief of Lennox Island First Nation.
Bernard won Saturday’s election with 177 votes, according to the official count. Darcy Sark placed second with 148 votes.
Bernard will take over from Darlene Bernard, who announced in April that she would not seek re-election after nearly two decades in leadership.
Darlene Bernard first served as chief from 2001 to 2013, then returned to the role six years ago.
