Lampe officially acclaimed as President-elect

Following a live Inuttitut debate that aired today on OKâlaKatiget Society Radio, Johannes Lampe has officially been acclaimed Nunatsiavut’s President-elect by Nunatsiavut’s Elections Officer, Nannette Blake.
Mr. Lampe, who is from Nain, has successfully met the requirements of the Nunatsiavut Elections Act and will be officially sworn in as President on May 4.
Mr. Lampe was the only candidate to file nomination papers for the position.
