Honouring the cultures and traditions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples

MILLBROOK – On Saturday, June 21, community members gathered to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day at the Millbrook Cultural and Heritage Centre in Millbrook First Nation.

The day honours the cultures and traditions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples and is observed across Canada.

Two groups, East Boyz and Stoney Bear, drummed for the afternoon, and attendees participated in a variety of dances including intertribal, traditional, jingle, fancy shawl and more.
