Homicide Update – Arrest – C14-174517

As previously reported, on August 17, 2014 at approximately 1:30 p.m. a body was recovered from the Red River in the area of the Alexander Docks.

The victim was identified as 15-year-old Tina FONTAINE. Tina had been reported missing on August 9, 2014 and was last seen in the downtown area of Winnipeg on Friday, August 8.

After extensive investigation and assistance from the public, members of the Homicide Unit were able to identify a suspect.

On December 9, 2015, the suspect was arrested in Vancouver by members of the Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit.

Raymond Joseph CORMIER, 53 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Second Degree Murder for his alleged involvement. He was detained in custody.
Missing Person – Jozsef NEMCSOK – C15-260753 – Located

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing 78-year-old male, Jozsef NEMCSOK. NEMCSOK was last seen in the downtown area of Winnipeg in the early morning hours of Friday, December 11, 2015.

NEMCSOK is described as a Caucasian male, 5’6” with thin build, grey hair, large beard and moustache. He was last seen wearing grey sweatpants with black stripes, black slippers, red sweatshirt with dark red flannel zip up. He also uses a black walker which may be with him.
The Winnipeg Police Service has concerns for the well-being of NEMCSOK and is asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.
Male Wanted – Randy Terrance Duane RYLE –C15-134447 & C15-256205

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a wanted 28-year-old male,Randy Terrance Duane RYLE.

RYLE is currently wanted in regards to two separate assaults that occurred in the Winnipeg area.

RYLE is described as:Aboriginal, 5’9” tall, 150 pounds with straight, short black hair.

The investigation is continuing by members of the West District Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding RYLE’s whereabouts is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2842 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
