The Government of Canada is proud to support economic development opportunities and growth in Indigenous communities.

Today, the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Indigenous Services, offered congratulations to Chief Terry Paul, the Council, and Membertou First Nation for its latest commercial realty project.

Membertou Place is a new 55,000-square-foot commercial space being constructed in Membertou offering a multi-use office space for new and existing clients. The new three-storey building will provide modern rental space for local organizations and businesses in the area.

ISC provided $1 million to Membertou First Nation to complete this commercial realty project under the Community Opportunity Readiness Program.

“Membertou Place will contribute to the growth of Membertou First Nation as a business centre while creating jobs and building economic opportunities for the community. The Government of Canada is proud to invest in projects like this as part of its commitment to supporting Indigenous community businesses to maximize opportunities for success.”
