GNB: Volumes II and III of the 2020 auditor general report to be released

FREDERICTON (GNB) – Volumes II and III of the 2020 report of the auditor general will be released at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23.

At that time, copies of the report will be available online at the Auditor General of New Brunswick website.

Volume II contains:

  • Chapter 1 – Key Messages from the Auditor General
  • Chapter 2 – Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Program – Department of Health
  • Chapter 3 – NB Power Debt Challenges – NB Power
  • Chapter 4 – Nursing Home Planning and Aging Strategy Update – Department of Social Development
  • Chapter 5 – Auditor General’s Access to Vestcor Significantly Limited; and
  • Chapter 6 – Follow-up on Recommendations from Prior Years Performance Audit Chapters.

Volume III contains the Financial Audit Report.

In addition to the report a PowerPoint presentation, news releases and one-page summaries for select chapters will also be on the auditor general’s website around 10 a.m.

As Auditor General Kim Adair-MacPherson presents highlights of the report to members of the public accounts and Crown corporations committees, starting at 10 a.m. on Feb. 23, a live webcast will be available online.

Note:

Auditor General Kim Adair-MacPherson will be available to answer questions from the news media around 12:15 p.m. in a news conference at the legislative assembly following her presentation.
