FREDERICTON, JUNE 8, 2015 — This morning, Michael McMullen, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, was proud to announce that the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce will host the 2017 Annual General Meeting and Convention of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

Surrounded by distinguished guests the Hon. Stephen Horsman, Deputy Premier, Minister of Public Safety, Justice and Solicitor General, Province of New Brunswick; the Hon. Keith Ashfield, MP, Fredericton; Mike O’Brien, Councillor and Chair of Fredericton’s Development Committee, City of Fredericton; Joseph O’Donnell, President, Fredericton Chamber of Commerce; Krista Ross, CEO, Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, and Erin Blanchard and Wendy Gallant of Meetings Matter, Mr. McMullen proceeded to make the announce at the Fredericton Convention Centre.

“Our AGM and Convention is the most important event of the year. It provides chamber executives with key learning and networking opportunities and enables members of the chamber network to tap into the latest developments, trends and issues that are important to the Canadian business community, as well as set our policy agenda for the upcoming year. In 2017, we’ll be doing it in a beautiful and friendly setting right here in Fredericton,” said Mr. McMullen.

“We’re looking forward to hosting the 2017 Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM and Convention. Over 350 delegates, volunteers and business leaders from across Canada will be visiting Fredericton, discovering our city and its charms. This also represents an important economic impact for the city, estimated at nearly $1 million,” explained Joseph O’Donnell, President of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce.

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Annual General Meeting and Convention will take place from September 23 to 25, 2017, at the Fredericton Convention Centre.
