CHAPEL ISLAND, N.S. _ Eleven people have been displaced by house fires in three Maritime communities.

The Canadian Red Cross says a couple and three children, including a month-old infant, from Potlotek First Nation were forced out by a fire Friday morning in Chapel Island, N.S.

The Red Cross says they have arranged for emergency lodging and purchases of food and clothing.

The agency is also helping a family of four who were displaced by a house fire Friday afternoon in the rural community of Moores Mills, N.B., roughly 10 kilometres north of St. Stephen.

Meanwhile in Fredericton, the Red Cross says a blaze extensively damaged a couple’s bungalow Friday evening.

No one was injured in any of the fires.
