Eskasoni powwow to be “epic” – Cape Breton Post

ESKASONI – First Nations culture will be celebrated with feasts, song and dance when Atlantic Canada’s biggest powwow kicks off this weekend.
The 24th annual Eskasoni International Competition Powwow is the first of six such events that will be held across Nova Scotia this summer.
And, with participants coming from as far away as Oklahoma and Manitoba, Eskasoni chief Leroy Denny says this year’s powwow will be “epic”.
“We’ve been planning this powwow since last year’s event and that had a huge turnout, so there going to be lots more dancing and drumming and it’s going to be a really colourful event,” said Denny.
