Tentative Start Date: January 18th, 2016

Tentative End Date: March 30th, 2016

LOCATIONS

The water treatment plant upgrade is presently on-going in your neighbourhood. We are committed to maintaining a work site that is safe and orderly. Dust, noise and heavy equipment are intrusive, but common elements of construction. We are working to minimize the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we work to upgrade municipal facilities.

The work will generally consist of the installation of two (2) well pumps, control panels and filter system and applicable modifications to process piping within the existing Eel Ground First Nations Water Treatment Plant (WTP). The work will also consist of the supply and installation of a new backup generator and supply lines connection to the existing raw water line along the access road constructed in 2014. The works will also include the removals of the existing filter system and associated piping, generator, diesel tank and associated fuel supply system.

No Discharge of Fire Arms in the work area at all times.

Typically from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm weekdays.

  • Beginning immediately, you will see the Contractor preparing the site for construction and proceeding on removal of equipment’s from the water treatment plant.
  • Construction will occur in stages to minimize disruption and inconvenience to residents, however, some restrictions will be necessary to complete the work.
  • Once the new water system in place some interruption of the water supply may be required and residents will be advised of such ahead of time.
