ANNAPOLIS ROYAL, N.S. _ Atlantic Canada’s economy will be on the agenda today as the region’s premiers meet in Nova Scotia.

Premier Stephen McNeil, New Brunswick Premier Brian Gallant, Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Dwight Ball and Prince Edward Island Premier Wade MacLauchlan will gather in Annapolis Royal.

The premiers are expected to discuss ways to strengthen the economy, improve health care services, enhance energy cooperation and address climate change.

The Council of Atlantic Premiers was established in 2000 to bolster cooperation between the four Atlantic provinces.
