Charlottetown church rings bells for missing and murdered women – CBC

A number of people gathered to ring hand-bells on the steps of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Charlottetown Wednesday.
The bells were rung 1,181 times to represent every missing and murdered indigenous woman in Canada.
This is the second week of the bell ringing at Anglican churches across Canada. Bells are being rung over three Wednesdays as is part of a lead-up to National Aboriginal Day on June 21.
The event started last week with the release of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission report.
