The online courses are delivered over a 12 week period. They start on Monday, May 15, 2017 and finish on July 28, 2017. The tuition cost for the online delivery is $750 per course plus applicable taxes for members, for non-members it is $925.
Individuals taking the online courses will need access to the internet, e-mail and a computer on a regular basis. The course is available online 24/7. The course follows a weekly schedule to enable discussion of lesson material in the discussion forum. It is up to you when participating what times will best fit into your schedule. It is recommended that you set aside course time to ensure you keep on top of course your workload. If you know you are going to be busy or away, you can work ahead or catch up when you return. Assignments however have very specific due dates. A student typically spends 10 hours per week, but this can vary depending on your experience level in a given topic area, and may increase leading up to an assignment due date.
Individuals not able to leave their community for any length of time or are comfortable with the internet and have some social media experience find this format a convenient way to take a course.
“Excellent Course…very relevant to my work.” Online Course Participant
“This was by far the best course I have taken to date. Every tool presented I can use for our community. The instructor was very helpful and based on her comments I learn just as much from what I didn’t as what I did.” Online Course Participant
