Assembly Chiefs thank TRC for its work
The Assembly of First Nations’ Chiefs in New Brunswick wishes to sincerely thank the Turth and Reconciliation Commission for its fundamentally important work revealing a dark period in Canada’s history. The Chiefs-in-Assembly wish to humbly acknowledge the bravery of the survivors who shared their stories and contributed to a process of true historical significance for our Peoples and for Canada. We look forward to meaningful action and resolution of the issues raised by the Commission. We look forward to a positive change in direction by the federal government and the way it sees its relationship with our Peoples.
