Allan Greer studies land rights and Canada’s First Nations

Allan Greer is the Canada Research Chair in Colonial North America, and a professor of history at McGill University. His research focuses on the history of native peoples of the Americas and the history of the Atlantic World. Greer has published extensively on the social history of early French Canada, and New France. He is a recipient of a prestigious Killam Research Fellowship from the Canada Council for the Arts.
