Job Description:

• Assist with landscape constructions
• Tying
• Weed, prune and trim trees and plants
• Cut grass
• Rake and collect refuse
• Remove litter and garbage
• Cart and spread topsoil and other materials
• Lay sod or seed
• Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees
• Apply fertilizers
• Spray and dust trees, shrubs, lawns and gardens, as directed, to control insects and disease
• Write daily basic progress reports
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
• Maintain lawns and grass along roadsides
• Operate and maintain power mowers, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws, snowblowers and other landscape maintenance equipment
• Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment

Requirements:

• Education: No formal education is required
• Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.
• Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling
• Personal suitability: Reliability, Organized, Team player, Dependability

• Language: Basic level of English is required
• Salary: $17.74 hourly, 40.00 hours per week.

Important Information:

The position requires flexibility in scheduling based on business needs. Shifts: Monday to Friday, 6 am – 2:30 pm, 7 am – 3:30 pm. Weekend work may be required depending on weather conditions. Please note that we are located in a rural area.
