Job Description:

• Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns
• Prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables
• Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
• Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
• Describe and advise on wine selection
• Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
• Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware
• Perform sensory evaluation of wines
• Serve food and beverages
• Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
• Provide customer service

Requirements:

• Education: No formal education is required
• Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.
• Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Overtime required, Standing for extended periods
• Personal suitability: Client focus, Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Initiative, Organized, Reliability, Team player
• Language: Intermediate level of English is required
• Salary: $16.50 hourly, 40.00 hours per week.

Important Information:

The position requires flexibility in scheduling based on business needs. The work schedule is 6 am – 2:30 pm, 2 pm – 10:30 pm, and 4 pm – 12:30 am. Weekend work and overtime will be required. Please note that we are located in a rural area.
