Terms of Employment

The position of Farm Labourer is a Seasonal (April to November), 40-60 hours a week position where wages range from $16 an hour and is located at 1160 Route 20, Kensington, PE, C0B 1M0.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Cutting potato seed
• Washing and sanitizing potato bins
• Prepping and moving irrigation equipment
• Taking samples of soil, water, & plants
• Cleaning organizing the maintenance shop
• Mowing, clear cut, plant and harvest

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience of 1 to less than 7 months, ideally in potato farming.

Secondary school diploma or general education degree is required.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Experience in the farming business

Excellent communication skills

Ability to prioritize operations in light of multiple priorities and conflicting demands

Team player with an ability to participate in cross-functional teams
