• Job Type: Full-time, permanent

• Wage Rate and hours: $31 per hour, 40 hours per week
• Start date: as soon as possible
• Job Location: various locations across Nova Scotia.

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Education: High School Education.
• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience as a Carpenter is required.
• Construction Projects: Residential, Commercial.
• Work Conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling.

Job duties:

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials

• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems

• Fit and install doors, stairs, moulding and hardware

• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures as per job requirement

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawing and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
