For the first time ever, the Black Canadian Fundraisers Collective (BCFC) is delivering its B3 Fundraising Academy curriculum in person. We will be hosting our newly developed fundraising fundamentals course from the Delmore Buddy Daye Learning Institute (DBDLI) in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on September 15, 2025.
What to Expect:
● 8 hours of in-person learning on September 15, 2025
● Followed by four (4) virtual 2-hour workshops
● CFRE-accredited content, with an official certificate provided upon completion

Target Audience: If you are looking to learn the basics of what fundraising is about, to root your practices is community-centric principles, and to learn about the history of giving outside of the Eurocentric practices, this course is for you.

Developed by members of the BCFC and Agents C, this curriculum is rooted in Africentric and Community Centric Fundraising principles. You don’t need to be from these communities to attend—we welcome all fundraisers and community members who are open to learning, growing, and challenging systemic racism in philanthropy.
