The Mi’kmaw Circle of Hope Society is a non-for-profit organization which was created to address pressing concerns which effect Mi’kmaq people. Our organization is excited to host our 3 rd annual Wearing our Identity: Honouring our missing and murdered indigenous woman, girls and 2SLGBTQIA+ fashion show. This event will connect audience to artistic and cultural expressions that celebrate and advances Indigenous artists and designers. The event will take place Saturday May 3rd, 2025, at the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavillion. The fashion show will bring together Indigenous fashion designers, beaders’ and other artisans to share their work in a world class setting. We will also have performances by Indigenous youth including an all.Mi’kmaq youth dance troupe with performances choreographed by Sarah Prosper, a Mi’kmaq dance producer of the award-winning show Samqwan. This inclusive event will feature Indigenous youth, two spirited people, women, men and elders to model the designs created by our artists.
