I feel very strongly that this mental health issue, especially in Indigenous communities, has been largely neglected and that promised support is well overdue.

The need for mental support services for the entirety of the population within Canada is shown through popular media such as the Bell Lets Talk campaign but specific populations that are more likely to be at risk get overlooked.

The community of Eskasoni is an example of a population group that is in great need due to the compound of issues that have been thrust upon them through generations and the recent rise in suicide rates as stated in the article.
