Who cares most about it and why?
First Nations communities. John Paul, the executive director of the Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nations, has said that Indigenous people have a goal of becoming the middle class. In many cases, what’s stopping them is economic stability — a lack of economic development within First Nations and the jobs that come with it. But the impacts are far-reaching. Without that stability, some First Nations have difficulty providing the basics of life — safe drinking water, suitable housing, education — for their members.
