MEMBERTOU, N.S. — Goaltenders are considered the last line of defence on any hockey team, but the adage is especially true for Taylor Cremo this week.

The 15-year-old from Eskasoni was one of three goaltenders on Team Atlantic’s female hockey team roster heading into the 2018 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Membertou, but the two other goaltenders went down with injuries before the tournament began. Her busiest outing so far came in a 7-0 loss to Manitoba on Wednesday night. She stopped 32 of 39 shots in a valiant effort between the pipes.
